Saturday was rainy and most drivers decided to save their equipement and did not took advantage of the practrice.

The qualification runs started on sunday. The qualification was set by the fastest lap. Because of the wet surface many drivers had difficulties with setup and handling. Patrick Hofer put his Reedy Powered B44.2 on TQ as well as his B4.2 on 2nd.

The surface was changing run to run and made a setup difficult. Patrick finished on 2nd in both categories.

Jeremy Pittet & Ultimate Racing wins 1/8 Off Road Swiss Championship Round 1

Report by Jeremy in french only:

La première manche du CS c’est passé le week end du 4-5 mai à Montagny sur une piste temporaire. A cause du temps, seul deux manches se sont déroulées le samedi ainsi qu’une le dimanche… A l’issu des qualifications je fais la pôle avec une TQ et une deuxième place.

Pour la demi finale et la finale, je fais toute la course devant, sans jamais être à la lutte avec le deuxième. Je remporte la course avec 2 tours et demi d’avance sur le deuxième.

La voiture était tout simplement phénoménale… Une constance dans les différentiel qui ont fait tout le week-end sans changer d’huile et dans les amortisseurs qui ont été refaits juste avant la finale. Que dire des mousses, qui protègent à merveille le moteur.

Merci pour le matériel Ultimate Racing qui est vraiment d’excellente qualité !

During the finals, both Simon Allemann and Michele Manzo missed chance during their fights. Simon did two small mistakes during the two first final runs and let Marco Siegenthaler win these runs, while Michele was a bit pushed during the rounds 2 and 3 of the finales.
