What a hard ETS round 3 race at Wels in Austria, during the “Modellbau Wels Messe”, a great hobby expo where the third round of Euro Touring Series was hosted. Track and facilities was simply fantastic, as usual in a ETS event. Congratulation and thanks to the ETS organizers and staff for so great racing days.
Our small team quickly found a good setup, and made good laptimes, but the technical track and the ultra high racing level of this kind of event requires perfect and mistake-free runs; something more easy to say than to drive !
Patrick Gassauer was in the top 10 after all the qualification rounds… excepted in the last one. Patrick obtained the 11th place at point equality with Tom Krägefski. One was in A, and unfortunately it wasn’t Patrick; who was extremely disappointed of that, because it was something deserved and really not impossible without some small mistakes. Patrick wins the B-final in a “easy way” by managing the second place in the third run, after winning the second run.
As all the TM drivers at Wels, Patrick did all what he can, and we thanks him a lot for the great efforts he provided during that event. Also great thanks to all TM drivers.
We will work hard to obtain some better results in outdoor.
