The previous races there I used Sorex 28 tires which are very easy to drive. I tried the Ride Rex30 indoor tires once and noticed they were faster (more corner speed) but harder to drive, traction rolling etc. So last races I went back to the sorex tires to get to know the car a little on carpet.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

This weekend I set my mind to get the car right on the faster, but harder to drive, Ride tires. In Q1 i made a safe run on the sorex tires which gave me the TQ spot for the finales. In Q2 and during the lunch break i did some quick and short runs with every time some set-up improvements between. Q2 was very hard as the car rolled over almost every 3 or 4 laps. But in fast laptimes I allready noticed there was some more potential compared to the sorex tires.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

After Q2 I really did some set-up changes, with Cyril’s last ETS set-up in mind. The things that worked out the best were slighty thicker diff oil (5k instead of 3k) and adjusting the rear rollcenters (arms higher). This made the car a lot better to drive and still fast ! I noticed the car was sometimes still going on 2 or 3 wheels some corners, . For the finales i changed my way of using tire additive (shorter) and slighty softener the rear shock oil (450 instead of 500). The last change was using 0.5 wheelspacer shims both front and rear. This all made the car really a pleasure to drive with ! I was able to improve the track record of fastest lap which is now in my hands with a 9,64 instead of the 9,68 of Steven Koiter. Is is not a big difference, but in racing every little improvement counts \ud83d\ude09 !\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

To make it an even more complete weekend I started building the new E4RSIII+ which feels really good when building it so far. I try to finish it this week and give it a shot the weekend after new year. I’ll sure let you know how that goes !<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
