Nicolas Schwendimann obtained great and promising results during the 1st round of French Championship in modified category (open motor).

French Championship round 1: great and promising result for Nicolas Schwendimann

Nicolas – current french champion in 10.5 category – switched to modified for 2014. His target for this first round was simply to obtain a place in A-final.

After a great 3rd place obtained during the warm-up race, 2 weeks before the french championship, Nicolas came back to Rumilly confident in his Team Magic E4 RS II Evo, and obtained a great 5th overall place

Qualified on 4th position on the grid, Nicolas made a mistake during the first final, and finished 7th.

During the second finale, Nicolas was 3 when the 4th driver touched his car resulting on a roll-over; he finished 5th.

On the 3rd and last finale, Nicolas finished on a great 3rd place after 5 minutes of hard battle; and obtained the overall 5th place.

In terms of laptimes, the own record of Loïc Jasmin (TQ) was 13.21, while Nicolas set a fantastic 13.22 !

So, a podium was for sure a possible result, which is very prominsing for the season.
