After his performance in ETS Germany last February, Patrick Gassauer / Team HRC and TM Racing Driver did it again in Italy, by obtained his place in A-Finale.
For many teams, being in A-final is something normal. They have many drivers, some professionals, and a performing teamwork during the races… but for TM and HRC, this is very special, as we are the only team to don’t pay stars and as we are the smallest team at ETS. Patrick also practiced only 1 day outdoor this season. Moreover, we have only ONE driver in ProStock category, and we put him in two ETS A-final in a row: Germany and Italy. It could seems very stupid to say that, but TM is finaly the only brand able to say “100% of our drivers are in A-final” 🙂
ETS round 2 in Italy started well for Patrick. He was classified on 6th position after two qualification rounds Friday evening. On Saturday, many racers improved their results by a great team job in the pits… the one who found a good setup for this special track provide very valued and important information to they teammates. So, Patrick finished on overall 12th position after the 4 rounds of qualification.
BUT… this wasn’t finish for Patrick: ETS race organisation decided to make a strict control of the gear ratios of the 15 first classified cars. Three drivers was clearly cheating, and have been definitively banned of ETS 2015 season. With that, we understood clearly why some drivers have an advantage in the straights. All at TM team respects scrupulously the rules and are never cheating, and we understood that we were naive to think this is the case for every drivers and teams. So, Patrick obtained a deserved place in A-finale for the second time in a row. Well done !
