Team Magic / HRC factory driver Patrick Gassauer made the trip to Aigle, Switzerland, to participate to the 4th round of Swiss Championship.
On saturday, during the free and controlled practices, Patrick set the best times in both Modified and ProStock categories with his old tires of ETS final in Slovakia on his TM E4RS III !
For the first round of qualification, Patrick made 2 “safe runs”, just to place a time. He made the TQ in ProStock, and 2nd place in Modified, with lap record in both category, without attack, simply smooth driving.
And…on Sunday, the rain comes to perturb the Gassauer’s Swiss adventure ! As many German drivers, Patrick has no rain car and simply don’t race under rain. So, in ProStock, Patrick just placer 6 very slow laps in Q3, just to obtain necessary points to get the A-final.
In modified, Patrick also obtained his place in A-finale with the 4th round of qualification… but this one has been cancelled due to changing track conditions… bad luck for Patrick, as for Fabian Widmer (current Swiss Champion) and for Philipp Huber (current leader of the championship).
So, starting 9 in ProStock category, Patrick just miss 2 laps to get the win in every final runs. He just finish in 3rd position and his teammate Marco Balmer 6th.
